This is a great group of hard working people running a wonderful company with an amazing mission. I feel lucky and grateful they are a part of our community and making a difference in the environment and our lives. Mahalo!!
Awesome Idea and company. I always composted at home on the East Coast and was so upset that I could not find any place here. Signed up at Kailua Sunday market about a month ago. With the weather yesterday we could don't go back there with the bucket to turn in so drove over today to Full Circle Farm . Easy drop off! We ran into one of the owners of the farm and had a tour of the entire operation. This is just remarkable. They also have education programs at the farm. Everyone needs to support this endeavor- it saves landfill room, teaches you about how much waste you really have, and supports better gardening and farming- and you get incredible compost back for your own garden (we live in a condo and I am giving mine to a young couple at work with their first home and garden.) Just do this and spread the word!!
Always enjoyable saying hello to the crew while swapping out my composting bucket at the farmer’s market. It is such an easeful process! I am incredibly grateful for all the work Leftover Love does for our community and the environment!!!
Highly recommend!
Composting via the membership has been an eye opener to how much we waste. We’re more aware of expiring produce and leftovers in our home and we have less to contribute to our weekly Opala pickup. The compost that we get back goes right into our slowly growing vegetable garden.
Parking has become impossible at the Sunday farmers Market . I am 75 years old and to carry the bucket , or even to roll it , it’s necessary to park in the lot .It is more and more common for the lot to be full NO MATTER what time I arrive .
This requires multiple trips around the neighborhood waiting for the lot to open . It can literally take an hour waiting to park . I have not taken the bucket to Waimanalo yet but I am considering that option . Just not convenient.
Thanks for the feedback, and we’re glad you love the company. We agree—the Sunday Farmers Market parking has become very difficult, especially when carrying a bucket.
We think you'll find the Waimānalo drop-off to be much more convenient. It is less than 10 minutes away from the Kailua market, open every day, self-serve, with easy parking and drive-up access right to the drop point.
